Bacalar from the Mayan Bacalar Bakhalal meaning "Near or surrounded by reeds." It's a town in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, located in the south of its territory about 35 km north of the capital, Chetumal . The main attraction is the lagoon city, whose shores lies a spa where you can swim, also offers palapas to eat, boating on the lagoon and other services.
