Beautiful and peaceful bay surrounded by turquoise waters; ivory sand that will make your stay an unforgettable place. The beautiful landscape is complemented by the mangroves south of the bay surrounding a cenote.

The facilities are rustic and economic; area for camping and recreational vehicles, bathrooms and showers. The restaurant serves excellent seafood dishes. It has one of the most beautiful beaches in the area, a castaway on the southern tip and a cenote in the jungle, accessible by a gap.

A huge variety of coral that grows near the coast provides even the snorkeling fan, the opportunity to watch the colorful fish that swim among the coral confident. On the beaches of Xcael find different types of ecosystems in 362 hectares of forest where are mangroves, cenotes and coral reefs.

It is the most important beach of Mexico for nesting sea turtles: the white and loggerhead. From May to October these species of turtles arrive to this beach and 9 pm onwards biologists working to protect female turtles and their eggs besides the baby turtles.You should not miss the opportunity to snorkel in the coral reef (in Mexico is part of the second barrier world's largest Coral) that located about 50m approx. the beach or in their small cenote which is about 30 meters from the beach at Xcacel.
Must Know
Xcacel is a sea-turtle research station and pristine beach where visitors are welcome between 8am and 6pm; there are no services. It’s only 500m from the highway handy if you’re coming by bus or combi.
