Information
Puerto Angelito Beach is about 100 m long and 25 m wide, the sand is fine, white, with a small slope; the water is warm and clear, with green and blue tones, shallow and calm surf. The giant palm trees and vegetation middle-deciduous forest provide the backdrop to this attractive site, which also is common to see seabirds like pelicans, diving ducks and seagulls. You can make the rewarding activities like shopping for shells and decorative objects, jewelry boxes, napkin rings, key chains, ashtrays, jeweled necklaces, earrings and bracelets made of jade and coral. And if you like adventure you can go snorkeling and swimming. It is an ideal place for free diving like beach Manzanillo beach and Carrizalillo site. It has a restaurant, rental equipment for snorkeling, hammocks and parasols. You can boat hire service for tours by the beaches of Puerto Escondido or to practice any water sport.
Must Know
Puerto Ángelito, divided in two by a rocky outcrop, with a second beach, slightly further inland from Ángelito, called Manzanillo. They’re about twenty minutes’ walk from town, either by a track that leads to the left off Peréz Gasga, or direct from the highway on a signed road leading down opposite El Padrino restaurant (the two paths meet above the beach). An alternative is the concrete footpath that sets out from the western end of the town beach, dipping and turning over the coastal rocks and eventually climbing up to a road. Follow this inland, then turn left along the road signposted “Playa Manzanillo”, which turns into steps going down to the beach. You can also drive or get a taxi to drop you off at the top of the steps to the beach. Both little inlets have small beaches and excellent snorkelling among the rocks, but you’ll have to bring your own gear or rent some from the makeshift restaurants lining the beach.
Get There
Puerto Angelito is located southwest of the town of Puerto Escondido, 500 m, taking a dirt road that leads to the beach. Walking can be reached by a path located on the banks of the Main Beach.

By Road:
