Beautiful beach located in the town of Chacahua, located west of the National Park Lagunas de Chacahua shaped bay with fine sand and gentle slope. The water is blue hues, is crystal clear, warm and gentle surf. You will find palapas offering restaurant service, rental hammocks, parasols and boats. Occasionally turtles come to nest. There you can go swimming and diving, as its waters are clear and calm waters. In the resort there is a crocodile farm and an iguana. It offers visitors boat trips that provide insight into the attractions of the place and the food service restaurants and typical shelters established at the edge of the lagoon. To reach the Chacahua it is recommended first reaching Zapotalito, where There is a cooperative transport boats which will provide the service. The distance traveled by boat through the gaps in Pastoria and Chacahua is approximately 20 km. The Beach Cerro Hermoso is located in Chacahua, gently sloping fine sand. The water is clear, warm and gentle surf. This beach is one of the river mouths, where the sea water lagoon exchanges.There is a protection dyke separating the sea waters of the river, causing a giant pool, which in turn can practice safe swimming forms.

Chacahua is located 111 km west of Puerto Escondido on Highway # 200. To reach the Chacahua it is recommended first Zapotalito reach, where there is a cooperative transport boats which will provide the service. The distance traveled by boat through the gaps in Pastoria and Chacahua is approximately 20 km with a time of about 1:20 hours.There is another unpaved access (gap in poor condition) not recommended for small cars or very low.

By road:

To reach Chacahua be followed from Acapulco by highway 200 to Pinotepa Nacional-Puerto Escondido; at kilometer 70 there is a diversion to Zapotalito point from which boats leave to Chacahua. The Zapotalito: Located west of Puerto Escondido, 62 km from the highway 200 to Pinotepa Nacional. Nine kilometers ahead of Rio Grande turn left to reach Zapotalito. Puerto Escondido has 4 lines of trucks and luxury van service to the cd. Oaxaca: Estrella Blanca, Columbus, Estrella del Valle, Oaxaca Pacific This trip is made, usually in the Mexico-Acapulco highway. The approximate distance is 800 kms.

By Air:

By air, there are only two airlines: "Aerocaribe" with flights from the cd. . of Mexico and Oaxaca, "Oaxacan airways" which only makes the journey from the City of Oaxaca.
