Fine sand, open sea, strong waves and water blue hues, are the characteristics of this extensive beach that offers a scenic location in a small population of fishermen who are mostly engaged in commercial fishing in small scale. The call Isla Roca Blanca which by its nature is proper for diving, complements the attractive landscape that is unique vegetation and underwater scenery of lush vegetation, coral formations and colorful fish. Near the beach there is a palapa restaurant service and rental of hammocks.

Cacalotepec is located 36 km west of Puerto Escondido on Highway. 200 towards Pinotepa Nacional Cacalotepec deviation.

By Road:

By Road, the place has 4 lines of trucks and luxury van service to the cd. Oaxaca: Estrella Blanca, Columbus, Estrella del Valle, Oaxaca PacificThis trip is made, usually in the Mexico-Acapulco highway. The approximate distance is 800 kms.Halfway is in Acapulco (400 kms.) If you are traveling. in a private vehicle, we recommend leaving early, not at night. The heavier section is from Acapulco to Puerto Escondido, as it is usually done in the afternoon with the most intense calo. The drive from Acapulco to Puerto Escondido lasts 6 hours, on average.

By Air:

By air, there are only two airlines: "Aerocaribe" with flights from the cd. of Mexico and Oaxaca, "Oaxacan airways" which only makes the journey from the City of Oaxaca.
