Follow the road parallel to the beach and you’ll find the Sociedad Cooperativa de Servicios Turísticos at Anclote 17, which rents out snorkelling and diving gear and organizes two-hour panga trips to a cluster of volcanic islands known as Las Islas Marietas, a wildlife sanctuary.
The boats hold up to eight people this is probably the cheapest way to get close to the humpback whales present in the bay from around December to April, when they come to mate and give birth before returning to the polar waters of the north. Alternatively, you can book an organized whalewatching tour from Puerto Vallarta with an operator. Staying here usually means splashing out at one of the ultra-luxurious resorts.

Punta Mita is located 22 km west of Bucerias, on Highway 200. About 30 minutes from the airport.
By Road:
Bucerias Beach is located in the municipality of Bahia de Banderas, 145 km of Tepic, capital of Nayarit, and only 6 km from Nuevo Vallarta.
By Air:
To reach Tepic you can take a flight to Amado Nervo International Airport or the international airport of Puerto Vallarta.
