Information
Traditional beach with just over a kilometer long by thirty meters wide; has moderate slope and gentle surf, the sand is fine-grained gold. Its waters show a color ranging from blue to green and the type of vegetation that surrounds the beach is palm trees. Its name is a composition between Spanish and Nahuatl which translates as "place at the edge of the sand." The addition of "The Peñita" was given by the Spaniards in reference to the island of coral that looks like a rock. By the features that bay practicing water sports such as sailing and surfing sports is possible. The place has small hotels and / or bungalows, houses for rent, various supermarkets, restaurants and a wide variety of shops. The site has bars and nightclubs so in low season the nightlife is more active than the same Guayabitos. Thursday is typical installation of a rolling market better known as "Tianguis" This starts at the intersection of the street Esteban Baca Calderon and Manzanillo Bay, with a variety of food items, household and crafts.

Peñita Jaltemba is located in the municipality of Compostela 36 km south of Tepic, on Highway 200.
By Road:
The bus station Tepic has outputs to different destinations in the country 24 hours a day offering different alternatives depending on the destination the traveler may have. If you prefer to go by road, can from Mexico City and take the route Mexico - Guadalajara - Puerto Vallarta - Jarretaderas - Bucerías with a travel time of 8 hours and approximately thirty minutes.
By air:
Just outside of town just 10 km. away from Tepic Amado Nervo is the airport, which has flights to all the Mexican republic.
