One kilometer north of Chacala Bay Chacalilla, whose length is 150 m long and 15 m wide, with a gentle slope and moderate waves is located; the two beaches are divided by a rock where abundant marine life. Here you will find restaurant-bar service at the edge of the beach, with delicious dishes of fresh seafood; there is also a hotel, boat rides services, convenience store and camping areas. This beach is great for fishing and other water sports. It also has a large area of forest and palm trees abounding a variety of flora and fauna. A 30-minute Chacala, towards Puerto Vallarta, it is the archaeological site of Alta Vista, where 56 banks preserved petroglyphs of a stream whose age can not say exactly. Besides its historical value, this site is now a sacred site where the Huichol come to make offerings and perform ceremonies.

Chacalilla Bay is located 1 km from Chacala, 10 km west of Las Varas, closer to the beach and 72 km from Tepic, capital of Nayarit population.

The bus station Tepic has different outputs destinations in the country 24 hours a day offering different alternatives depending on the destination the traveler may have. If you prefer to go by road, you can from Mexico City and take the Mexico route - Guadalajara - Puerto Vallarta - Jarretaderas - Bucerías with a . travel time of 8 hours and approximately thirty minutes.
