Yelapa is a quiet place with emerald waters and a long stretch of golden beach that is located just 40 minutes from Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. Yelapa means "place where the waters meet or puddles." The origin of the word is Purepecha. Located south of Bahia de Banderas, Yelapa is a fishing village surrounded by mountains of the Sierra Madre Occidental and the Pacific Ocean. This wonderful beach lifestyle mixture of an island, a retreat for artists and a gathering place for hippies. This beach can be reached by yacht, boat or walking it is a place where no cars or transport to get from Puerto Vallarta. By Road:

By Sea:

The easiest way is taking the Taxi-aquatic leaving from Puerto Vallarta on Los Muertos Beach Pier or from Boca de Tomatlan 18.5 kilometers south of Puerto Vallarta Mexico by highway 200.
