Puerto Vallarta is connected to the rest of the Mexican territory by the Guadalajara-Compostela-Vallarta Highway (reaches Manzanillo) and Guadalajara-Autlan-Vallarta route; both in good condition.

By Air:

By air, modern Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport, 6 km north of Puerto Vallarta, is the main access to this tourist paradise. In the high season the traffic is 450 weekly flights, between domestic and foreign, especially US cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Fort Worth and Denver.
