Isla Navidad is a tourist complex located opposite the town of Barra de Navidad, on the peninsula of La Culebra. The island is located on the border with the state of Jalisco, an hour and a half Manzanillo and next to the town of Colimilla. It has a beautiful hotel with a golf course located on the seafront, surrounded by reefs, a pond and a small marina. The island was discovered in 1541 by Viceroy Antonio de Mendoza December 25, Christmas Day, hence its name.
