This beach, located just a hundred meters from the village of Paraiso and 7 kilometers Armory, is narrow with moderate waves; because it is located at sea, it is ideal to practice some water sports like surfing and windsurfing.
This beach has a fine dark sand, product of volcanic materials carried by the river Armeria. For its part, the people of Paraiso is located at the southern end of the estuary of Palo Verde, right on the north bank of the mouth of River, where there was an indigenous people called Tecpa, who were producers of salt until the sixteenth century. From the Armeria River Bridge to the southeast, the landscape becomes a sea of coconut trees reaching to the horizon.
Throughout the Paraiso beach there are numerous booths offering typical dishes like ground beef sailfish, sierra or simply, "back to life", clams and conch. They are also common carvings copra, coconut simulating cartoonish animals and a range of products made with snails and shells. On the Paraiso beach there are budget hotels, craft shops and palapas where you can enjoy delicious dishes prepared with fresh seafood.
It is, in short, a place to rest and take the sun shines most of the year. In the outskirts of town you can admire an idyllic ecological stream that can travel by boat, where you can appreciate closely its lush mangroves and a variety of fish and multicolored birds. Only 10 minutes from El Paraiso will enjoy the hospitality of the people of Armeria, with typical snack bars that sell tasty snacks of Colima, such as white pozole, chopped sopes, tostadas, enchiladas sweet and dessert, coconut candies traditional alfajores pineapple and coconut, pinching tamarind, stuffed lemons, coconut, dried bananas and guava rolls. Being a beach on the open sea swell is strong, so it is advisable to observe pins that are placed along the beaches for the safety of visitors: red, danger and yellow, white guarantees absolute caution and confidence to swim.
