The beaches of Cabo San Lucas, comprising the final stretch of the Sea of Cortez and have become, over time, wonderful places where they can develop the most varied water sports, as well as get the necessary equipment for this, thanks to the abundant tourism service providers working in this area. First, we Chileno Beach, which is located at kilometer 14.5 of the mentioned tourist corridor between San Jose del Cabo and the beautiful community of Cabo San Lucas.

The Arc. It is located at the tip of the peninsula Baja California Sur, Cabo San Lucas. It is where the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez meet. This beach is El Arco, unique in the world, is a geological rock formation located at the junction of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean, recently declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Can only be reached by boat in just 20 minutes. El Arco site is located in one of the most attractive areas of Cabo San Lucas. It appears just in the area where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez intermingle. On this beach stands the curious rock formation that gives its name to the place: a formidable stone arch. Access to El Arco, as can be done in a boat, on a tour that takes about 20 minutes.

Waterfalls Arena. In its waters you will find a great diversity of marine fauna. This is one of the most visited by experienced diver’s places, in fact it is recommended to swim in it with the instruction of an expert. Playa del Amor. It is one of the most sought after by couples as it provides an atmosphere of privacy and romance.

Two beaches again, that no one should miss, when the fortune of spending a season is taken into this magnificent destination, are the beach Waterfall Arena and Playa del Amor.

The first has a rich biodiversity to look at its marine depths, although, because of its natural conditions, it is only recommended for experienced divers or for divers Mid skill but with a guide.

The second, meanwhile, is one of the points of Cabo San Lucas, visiting the most romantic couples, for its friendly atmosphere of intimacy accomplice, right to enjoy each other's company.

If it wasn’t for the forbidding rocks and dangerous cliffs, you could easily walk from the marina southwest to Playa del Amor and the tip of the peninsula. Most people opt for trips via water taxi or tour boat from the marina or Playa El Médano: both should be no more than 2hr from the beach. Del Amor also has a second beach on the Pacific side (Playa El Divorcio), though it’s for looking only – the riptide will finish off any swimmers.

From the safe side of Del Amor it’s possible to swim in the direction of the marina to Pelican Rock, where the underwater shelf is home to schools of tropical fish. Experienced divers shouldn’t miss the rim of a marine canyon at a site known as Anegada, also off Playa del Amor, where unusual conditions at 30m create a “sandfall” with streams of sand starting their 2000-metre fall to the canyon bottom.

El Arco, the huge rock arch at Finisterra or Land’s End itself, not far from Del Amor – where the Sea of Cortés meets the Pacific – is an extraordinary place, with a clear division between the shallow turquoise seawater on the east and the profound blue of the ocean out to the west; a colony of sea lions lives on the surrounding rocks. You’ll need to take a boat trip to get close.

For reasonably inexpensive food, head for Morelos and the streets away from the waterfront. The more touristy places – some of them the most expensive in Baja – cluster around the marina and along Hidalgo. At night, such places compete for partying patrons by offering happy hours (often 6–8pm) and novel cocktails. There’s little difference between them; stroll along and take your pick.

By land:

By air:

If you opt for the air, then we must use as a point of arrival, the Los Cabos International Airport, which is located on the outskirts of the city of San Jose del Cabo. The Los Cabos International Airport is home to a large number of airlines, being therefore very convenient to the major airports in United States as well as major airports of Mexico. By Sea: Take a ferry across the Sea of Cortez from the ports of Topolobampo and Mazatlan, in Sinaloa, to the port of La Paz. From there, you can travel by bus to Los Cabos.
