San Miguelito is the name given to the old ranch coprero worked between 1950-1970 in this area. Cultural significance is a settlement that was part of the old chiefdom Ecab, which had as main economic activities, fishing, agriculture, production of salt, honey, copal and cotton, which were marketed in a complex network that was dismantled in the mid-sixteenth century with the arrival of the Spanish in the Yucatan Peninsula. To date we have explored various structures arranged in four sets: Set North, Chaak Palace, set the South Dragons and set; It stands out for its size and importance, the Palace Chaak, a large building with spacious interiors and a lobby with columns supporting a flat roof; it is a building of public functions, it is an open area, equipped with benches, arranged in front of a shrine. It is also very important a base located in the South Set at the end of the tour, which was remodeled at least three times during its prehistoric occupation, and on which the remains of a temple of East Coast style are preserved.The basement has a staircase with balustrades, very characteristic of the Postclassic and facing a set of structures, based on the orientation of the pyramid, they seem to have been related to the site of El Rey In other structures, mainly platforms housing, have been able to recover more than 50 human burials and foreign artifacts, such as basalt, flint, obsidian, quartz, ceramics and copper axes, as well as tools and ornaments from local raw materials like coral, conch, and stone limestone. The whole site corresponds to the Late Post Classic period (1200 d. C. to 1550 d. C.).

Access to the site is through the Maya Museum of Cancun, located at Km 16.5 Boulevard Kukulcan, in the hotel zone of Cancun Cd.; It is 2 kilometers from the archaeological site of El Rey, 7 kilometers from the Convention Center and 3.5 kilometers from Punta Nizuc. Visitors can reach the site by public transport.
