Cultural important paleontological deposit, whose density in terms of recovered items makes it one of the richest deposits of Pleistocene fauna of the end early Holocene and dug until today throughout the Americas. From studies of C14 date average located circa 11188 (-76 + app.) Tocuila the paleontological deposit was derived. Direct dating results in mammoth bone obtained from the same deposit and processed by AMS 11200 boldness date (+ -80) ap., Which translates to about 9250 years. C. It should be noted that among the approximately thousand segments and bone fragments have been recovered, 10 items that are distinguished from others by the morphology of their fractures, indicating that they themselves were subjected to a process to count the size intention to produce simple devices. The modified bones found in the paleontological site Tocuila, are one of the earliest evidence of Pleistocene bone technology for Mexican plains.

Tocuila The archaeological site is located approximately 2.7 kilometers north of Texcoco de Mora. Tocuila museum is located on the street September 16 to 80 meters south of the square and the borough Tocuila building.
