This is a site of Xajay culture that developed between the years 300 and 1100. Apparently he is the heir of the Preclassic culture Chupícuaro Bajio and related to the origin of the Otomi of the Mezquital Valley. The site is sacred to Otontecutli, the Old Fire God, Otomi invocation.Importance Cultural Pahñú is a site that is located in the community of La Mesilla, Municipality of Tecozautla, Hidalgo. On the stylistic features of ceramics and architecture, the population living in this place was related culturally with populations of the Bajio region, mainly with the Acambaro region and Preclassic development called Chupícuaro-Mixtlan.
