"Cueva de la Olla" was named after large barn located on the site, whose rounded shape reminiscent of a vessel. Cultural Importance is placed to the inhabitants of Cueva de la Olla in the social context of Paquimé and call Mogollon culture. Nomadic groups, in transit from north to south, settled along the Sierra Madre Occidental, gradually dispersed and populated areas near rivers. Cueva de la Olla corresponds to the height of Paquimé previous phase, and shares the characteristic architectural features of the region and the season, as are the doors in a "T" and cast adobe buildings. Site builders villagers had to be intensely while taking advantage of the environment, established a system of communal use, evidence of this is the large barn built in front of the settlement, to address the need to store food for the winter. Casas Grandes highway is taken towards Hurricane Mesa, at kilometer 60 the diversion of dirt which is 6 km away, which leads to the White House and one kilometer ranch is located.then the archaeological site Cueva de la Olla. This archaeological site is located within a natural shelter that is part of a set of similar places in the Valle de las Cuevas.
